(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 28, 2009) In a week 16 Michigan League 3 classic, *Haymakers squeaked by a tough *Gladiators team by a score of 127.05 to 123.65, extending the winning streak for *Haymakers to 8 games.
*Haymakers were led to their 3.40 point victory by a 27.90 point effort from Roddy White, who beat the Buffalo Bills defense for 139 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. With this performance, White was the number 1 ranked wide receiver for week 16. They also got help from a 18.75 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Seattle Seahawks defense for 237 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 9 rushing yards. "This is the greatest feeling in the world," *Haymakers coach Michael said. *Gladiators were helped out in a losing cause by a 19.95 point effort from Ben Roethlisberger, who got by the Baltimore Ravens defense for 259 passing yards and 1 passing TD. They also got help from a 18.50 point effort from Ray Rice, who beat the Pittsburgh Steelers defense for 141 rushing yards in addition to 14 receiving yards. "They've had our number all season," *Gladiators coach Greg Redarsky said. *Gladiators drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 10 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 16. This brings the record for *Haymakers to 12-3, and drops *Gladiators to a record of 9-6. | ||
