Orange Iguanas (137.7) at Miskatonic U (137.41)

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Nov 2, 2009) In a week 8 UFFL VI intra-divisional battle, Orange Iguanas squeaked by a tough Miskatonic U team by a score of 137.70 to 137.41, silencing a partisan crowd of 65,942. With their 137.70 points, Orange Iguanas is now the proud record-holder of the 8th-highest weekly point total in league history.

Chris Johnson

Orange Iguanas were led to their 0.29 point victory by a 31.77 point effort from Chris Johnson, who tore apart the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 228 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds in addition to 11 receiving yards. With this performance, Johnson was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 8. In addition, Johnson entered the UFFL VI Hall Of Fame with this performance as the 11th-ranked individual weekly player score in league history. They also got help from a 20.32 point effort from Tony Romo, who got by the Seattle Seahawks defense for 256 passing yards and 3 passing tds in addition to 10 rushing yards.

"We're glad to get out of here with the 'W'," Orange Iguanas coach Alex said.

Miskatonic U were helped out in a losing cause by a 26.29 point effort from Maurice Jones-Drew, who tore apart the Tennessee Titans defense for 177 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds. With this performance, Jones-Drew was the number 4 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 8. They also got help from a 25.72 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Minnesota Vikings defense for 287 passing yards and 3 passing tds in addition to 52 rushing yards.

"We can still hold our heads high," Miskatonic U coach Kurt Wille said.

Miskatonic U drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 10 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 8.

This brings the record for Orange Iguanas to 4-12, and drops Miskatonic U to a record of 11-5.

Coming up in week 9, the 8-8 Gdansk Port Authority are at Orange Iguanas , where Orange Iguanas are an early 1.1-point favorite, while the 7-9 Bye Week are at Miskatonic U, where Miskatonic U are an early 31.1-point favorite, while Orange Iguanas are at the 7-9 Bye Week, where Bye Week are an early 10.6-point underdog, while Miskatonic U are at the 8-8 Gdansk Port Authority, where Gdansk Port Authority are an early 21.6-point underdog.
